FableShop Bullpen Issue #4

To Write or to Promote?

I began serious writing way back because I simply felt that I could produce better than what was being offered in the popular magazines of the day.

With a whole heap of history behind me including a tremendous amount of time down in the Internet Marketing trenches, now I write and I promote. But, which comes first, the writing or the promotion?

I don’t think very many of us produce blockbuster material right out of the box…a one work wonder. So, then comes in the necessity of getting your books in front of the eyes of the reader.

Typical ways include:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Website
  • Amazon author promotion tools.

Even so, as always, there is still a ton of competition out there.

Then, when you promote, you feel like you should be writing, and when you write, you have this nagging promotional idea that needs to be taken care of.

The solution, of course is to have a handy office assistant to keep your wares all nice and tidy fresh in front of the public. But then, you need to be a best selling author to afford the assistant. The problems never end!

Well, as poor as my humble efforts are, here they are:

Kindle Author Page = http://www.amazon.com/Norman-Morrison/e/B008MO4IAY

The website you know. Please remember that it has a VERY interesting forum.

Lately, all books have been seriously and, of course, quite dispassionately and humbly reviewed by me. All the latest links are on the left side over there.

Just added Whiney Willie. Yes, I know Whiney is spelled Whiny. But maybe there is a reason for the discrepancy? Could be.

Still working on the first installment of the RYO Lodge, which is the real reason the Cowchip/AL brand began, away far back in 1989 or so. I think you’re going to like it. It will be quite a series, Lord willing.

The first book, RYO Lodge, a New Beginning of Hope details the beginnings of the RYO Corporation and the Lodge itself. A workman like volume, it never the less has a taint of mystery to it.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what happens next in the book!

I you should happen to be here wondering what the heck I’m all about, do be sure to Like and Tag my books on Amazon, if you know how.

Just getting started, as it were, I’m actively seeking book reviews. For heaven sakes, if you purchase one do a review for me. Won’t you? Well, unless you hate the book, then skip the review and send me a detailed note. Jeez.

Ok, so I’m wrapping up my opening splurge of promotion to get back to the reason for the book season. See you in Cowchip/AL!

Nuff said!
